Closing RxChange PriorAuth Requests
When you receive an RxChange request for a Prior Authorization from the pharmacy, it will show up as a task in your inbox to complete. However, it can be confusing how to clear these requests, especially in cases where they were resolved outside of Akute. Follow the steps below to clear these.
Non-Controlled Substances:
- Click "Process" in the patient chart eprescribe module, next to the RxChange request under notifications.
- Select the "Deny" option.
- Choose a reason that is most appropriate. If none fit, then choose "DeniedPriorAuthNoAttempt" as a fallback.
- Then click "Submit". This will clear that task.
Controlled Substances:
- There is currently no workflow to manually clear RxChange Request for PriorAuths for controlled substances. This is actively being worked on. In the meantime, please reach out to support@akutehealth.com to have these cleared for you.
