Account Restrictions, Liens, and Risk Holds
A lien notice is a formal document informing you that another party claims a legal right to your property due to an outstanding debt. These are typically sent by contractors, suppliers, or government agencies.
If you receive a lien notice, all money movement must stop immediately until the issue is resolved. This includes:
- Collecting payments
- Processing refunds
- Receiving deposits
It is critical to remedy liens as quickly as possible to avoid too much disruption to your day-to-day operations.
How to resolve a lien notice:
- Contact the lender to either pay the debt in full or arrange a payment plan
- Once resolved, obtain a lien release document from the lender
- Send the lien release to Akute Pay (by emailing support@akutehealth.com)
After receiving your lien release, our payment processing platform may conduct additional risk review, which can take several business days.
