Letters
Patient letters - such as work excuse or return to work letters - can be created by utilizing the Notes system in Akute. This has several benefits over having a separate letters section:
- You can continue to use your templates to create these letters that you use commonly.
- You can update the "Note Type," both in the template to set a default or manually in the note at the top, to reflect a letter vs progress note.
- You can print/fax these notes and automatically include your signature, as well as patient having access to these in their portal if you've marked the note(s) as "viewable by patient."
- You can filter your notes by note type if you want to find all your letters.
