Spruce Integration Limitations
We've had very positive feedback so far from our Spruce integration clients. There are limitations of the integration to be aware of though and we want to be upfront about those.
- No group messages are synced to Akute from Spruce
- Non-patient conversations are not synced to Akute from Spruce
- No read/unread status will be available in Akute for Spruce messages
- Internal messages in Spruce do not sync to Akute
- Spruce messages to a contact that does not exist in Akute will not sync to Akute (i.e. Contacts are not created in Akute from Spruce)
- Spruce messages for a contact that is in Akute but not yet linked to the Spruce contact do sync to Akute
- Message history will not sync to Akute
- Merging patients & conversations in Akute will not merge those contacts in Spruce
- If patients share the same number, only one patient has the SMS conversation in Akute
- Sending secure messages from Akute will say ‘From {Clinic Name}’, not from the user’s name
- Moving Spruce conversations to a new chart is not allowed in Akute
- Non-Hint organizations will create contacts in Spruce only when a message is sent from Akute
- Schedule sending & sending attachments are not yet available in Akute for Spruce messages (receiving attachments from patients is supported)
- Spruce phone calls are not synced to Akute
